Management Services

Management Services works closely with the entire Department of Justice to support appropriate and consistent departmental policy planning and program delivery, information and communications, financial planning, human and resource management, administration and systems support.

Management Services Programs

  • Deputy Minister's Office
    Works closely with the Minister of Justice and the Department to provide direction and manage departmental priorities.
  • Policy and Communications
    The Policy and Communications Unit (PCU) is responsible for coordinating the development of overall corporate planning, communications and evaluation services for the department.
  • Finance and Administration
    Works closely with each Justice branch to provide financial support and records management.
  • Human Resources
    Supports the Justice staff and initiates job competitions and hiring in partnership with the Public Service Commission. Human Resources offers corporate training initiatives to Justice staff.
  • Systems
    Provides internal computer support and computer system administration to all branches of the Department of Justice.
  • Workers' Advocate
    The Workers' Advocate is appointed by the Minister of Justice to advocate on the behalf of injured workers.
