Court Services

Court Services provides facilities for the courts, as well as administrative and support services to the judiciary and other participants in the Yukon court system. Services that assist with the collection of child support orders and amounts owed under civil court orders are also handled through Court Services.

Court Services

  • Land Titles Office
    The Yukon Land Titles Office has the legal responsibility for all Yukon land titles information in the Territory. All original land titles and documents for properties in the Yukon are kept at the Land Titles Office.
  • Maintenance Enforcement Program (MEP)
    MEP works to help enforce child support orders issued by the courts. The MEP helps to provide children and recipient spouses with the financial support ordered to them by the court.
  • Public Guardian & Trustee
    The Public Guardian and Trustee of Yukon operates under Yukon law to protect the legal rights and financial interests of children, to act as guardian of last resort for adults who require financial and personal decision making, & to administer the estates of deceased and missing persons where there is no one else to do so.
  • The Courts
    Information on the Territorial Court, Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, Small Claims Court, Federal Court, court circuit calendar, and court clerks.
  • Family Law Information Centre (FLIC)
    The Family Law Information Centre provides free information in the areas of child support, parenting after separation, and family law. It is housed on the main floor of the Andrew A. Philipsen Law Centre.
  • Sheriff's Office
    The Sheriff's Office provides court security, manages juries, ensures that court orders directed to the Sheriff are carried out and serves civil and criminal documents throughout the Yukon.
  • Witness Administration Program
    The Witness Administration Program provides support services for Crown witnesses subpoenaed to appear in Territorial or Supreme Court.
  • Yukon Public Law Library
    Open to all members of the public, the library is located in the Law Courts building in Whitehorse. Hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.
